The Alpinestars Youth SM3 Helmet is designed for young off-road and motocross riders who need dependable impact protection, a secure fit, and lightweight comfort. Finished in Falcon Purple, White, Black, and Pink Fluo, this Large helmet features a thermo-injected shell made from an advanced impact-resistant thermoplastic. The shell uses a specialized polymer blend with varying thicknesses to help balance protection and weight, while the multiple-density inner liner places the appropriate density in key areas for effective impact absorption.
The Youth SM3 incorporates technologies engineered to help manage the forces associated with oblique impacts. Low-friction surfaces on the inner and outer construction help reduce rotational forces, while a low-friction coating on the main EPS liner acts as a slip plane. The visor release system is designed to release at a predetermined force during an impact, helping reduce forces transferred to the rider’s neck. Ten intake vents and seven exhaust ports promote airflow and heat transfer, with the visor directing air toward the ventilation channels for improved cooling during demanding rides.
Fit and convenience are supported by adjustable crown and cheek pads, available separately in different thicknesses to help tailor the helmet to the rider’s head. The recycled-material comfort liner helps reduce environmental impact, and integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads provide practical routing for hydration systems. A soft 25 mm chin strap, stainless steel D-rings, and a secure closure system help maintain a comfortable, reliable fit. The Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads allow easier helmet removal by trained personnel while the helmet remains on the rider. Manufactured by Alpinestars, this Youth SM3 helmet is supplied under manufacturer and vendor part number 8301327-3222-YL.
