The Tech-Air 3 uses the Tech-Air 5 Street crash detection algorithm, refined with more than 2 million kilometers of riding data and over 2,000 crashes. Six integrated sensors, including triaxial accelerometers and gyroscopes, continuously monitor riding conditions and help identify dangerous situations such as lowsides, highsides, and other crash scenarios. The system can deploy the airbag in milliseconds, including during certain incidents when the motorcycle is stopped. Once inflated, the airbag protects the rider’s full chest and back. An integrated back protector pocket can accommodate additional passive back protection for riders seeking an added layer of coverage.
An LED display on the front chest shows the system’s operational status, while an integrated haptic alert provides vibration feedback when the system is armed and warns the rider when the battery is running low. Bluetooth connectivity links the airbag system to the Tech-Air App, allowing riders to review operational and battery status and track rides through the MyRide feature.
