The Alpinestars Supertech R10 Team Helmet combines a high-performance composite shell with advanced aerodynamic and impact-management technologies for demanding road and track riders. Its multi-composite construction incorporates a 3K high-density carbon outer layer, unidirectional carbon composite, aramid fiber, and fiberglass, bonded with epoxy resin to optimize strength, mechanical performance, energy dissipation, and weight efficiency. The layered shell helps limit outer-shell deflection while spreading impact energy across the EPS liner for improved absorption. This Team graphic finish features black, carbon red, and gloss white styling, with a Small fit and Alpinestars part number 8200224-1352-S.
The helmet uses four individually optimized inner shells and an eight-piece, multi-density EPS liner with six strategically positioned densities. This arrangement supports a close, comfortable fit while helping manage energy from a range of impact forces. A smooth, specially coated EPS surface creates a low-friction area that allows the comfort liner and rider’s head to move more independently during oblique impacts. This design helps reduce rotational force transmission to the head, neck, brain, and spine. The integrated A-Head Fitment System allows riders to adjust the helmet’s height and fore-and-aft angle for a more personalized position and secure fit.
CFD development, wind-tunnel validation, and track testing contribute to the Supertech R10’s aerodynamic stability and low-drag performance. The helmet includes standard and longer race spoilers with elastic joints designed to detach during significant impacts, along with lateral winglets and visor turbulators to support stability and aero-acoustic performance. Eleven ventilation points work with internal EPS air channels to circulate air around the head and exhaust heat efficiently. Seven intake ports include chin and top vents, while four exhaust ports help remove warm, humid air. A large top slider directs airflow over the crown, and the chin vents channel air toward the shield to help reduce fogging and misting.
