The Alpinestars Supertech R10 Helmet - Element combines advanced composite construction, race-developed aerodynamics, and a precision fit system for demanding motorcycle riding. Its multi-composite outer shell uses a 3K high-density carbon outer layer, unidirectional carbon composite, aramid fiber, and fiberglass bonded with pre-preg epoxy resin. This construction helps optimize the resin-to-fiber ratio for improved strength, mechanical performance, weight management, and energy dissipation. The shell is designed to limit deflection and distribute impact energy more effectively to the EPS liner.
The inner shell features an eight-piece, multi-density EPS liner with six strategically positioned densities to support energy absorption and rider comfort. Four inner shell configurations help provide a more precise fit while reducing unnecessary weight. A smooth, low-friction EPS surface is designed to help manage linear and oblique forces by allowing the comfort liner to move independently from the rider's head during certain impacts. The A-Head Fitment System allows riders to adjust the helmet's height and angle for a customized position, helping improve comfort, stability, and overall fit effectiveness.
Aerodynamic performance was developed through computational fluid dynamics simulations, wind-tunnel testing, and track validation.
