Protection features include the Alpinestars Visor Detaching System, which is designed to release the visor from the shell when impact energy exceeds 15 joules, regardless of impact direction. This helps reduce weaknesses associated with fixed visor anchoring systems. PLASMA technology is integrated into the lower side pads and shell edge to provide additional shock absorption in the collarbone area and help dissipate energy during contact. The 25 mm nylon chin strap uses stainless steel double-D rings and removable covers for convenient cleaning. The manufacturer and vendor part number is 8301826-2088-L. Designed for off-road racing and compatible with Alpinestars replacement cheek pads, this Large SM7 helmet provides a secure, adjustable fit for riders seeking comprehensive protection and practical race-focused features.
