The ALPINESTARS SMX Waterproof Jacket in Large is designed for sport riding performance, weather protection, and rider comfort. Its engineered sports body-mapped fit and pre-curved sleeves support an optimal riding position, while the elongated rear provides enhanced coverage on the motorcycle. The chassis combines poly-fabric and stretch softshell materials with a 2L waterproof membrane for a balance of comfort, durability, light weight, and wet-weather performance.
This jacket is Tech-Air® 5 ready. Strategically positioned stretch panel inserts accommodate the Alpinestars Airbag System, allowing expansion when the airbag inflates while maintaining an anatomical fit when the system is not installed. Nucleon Flex Plus armor is included at the shoulders and elbows. Nucleon chest Level 1 and Nucleon Level 1 and 2 back protectors are available as accessory upgrades. DFS Lite shoulders with a dynamic friction shield add abrasion resistance.
A detachable thermal liner with 100g body insulation and 80g sleeve insulation allows the jacket to be configured for changing climates. The fixed waterproof membrane features a Durable Water Repellent treatment for additional wet-weather performance. Storage includes two front zippered pockets, two chest pockets, an inner waterproof document pocket, and two inner liner pockets. The ALPINESTARS manufacturer and vendor part number is 3206523-111-L.
