The ALPINESTARS SMX Waterproof Jacket in Night Navy/Dark Gray, size 4XL, is designed for motorcycle riding and is Tech-Air® 5 ready. Its engineered sports body-mapped fit and precurved sleeves support riding performance, while strategically positioned stretch panel inserts accommodate the Alpinestars Airbag System and allow expansion when the airbag inflates. The jacket also provides an anatomical fit when the system is not installed.
The chassis combines poly-fabric and stretch softshell materials for comfort, durability, and reduced weight, with a 2L waterproof membrane for wet-weather performance. A Durable Water Repellent treatment on the fixed waterproof membrane adds further weather protection. The detachable thermal liner uses 100g insulation in the body and 80g in the sleeves, allowing the jacket to be configured according to the climate.
Protection features include Nucleon Flex Plus armor at the shoulders and elbows, along with DFS Lite shoulders featuring a dynamic friction shield for enhanced abrasion resistance. Nucleon chest Level 1 and Nucleon Level 1 and 2 back protectors are available as accessory upgrades.
