This bike-specific tank ring installs around the tank neck for a precise fit while keeping the tank bag suspended above the motorcycle’s paintwork. The tank lid remains accessible for normal refueling without removing the mounting hardware.

The system uses SW-Motech’s QUICK-LOCK mechanism with a magnetic positioning aid based on Fidlock technology. The magnets help guide the tank bag into alignment, while the fiberglass-reinforced plastic locking geometry holds it firmly in place during riding. A pull strap releases the PRO tank bag quickly with one movement, making removal convenient when you need access to the motorcycle or want to carry the bag with you.

The sliding top ring arrives pre-assembled on the tank bag’s guide rail, so the bag does not require drilling. The upper ring can be aligned to the preferred angle and secured to suit the motorcycle. This adjustability also allows the same tank bag to be repositioned if it is later used with another compatible motorcycle. The kit includes the bike-specific tank ring, mounting piece, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. This PRO-series tank ring is not compatible with EVO tank bags.

Part number TRT.00.787.20900/B identifies this SW-Motech fitment for the 2014–2016 Yamaha MT-09.

Features:

Bike-specific fitment: Designed for Yamaha MT-09 motorcycles from 2014–2016.

QUICK-LOCK mounting: Secures compatible SW-Motech PRO tank bags with a simple push-on connection.

Fidlock magnetic guidance: Helps align the tank bag and supports quick, reliable attachment.

Adjustable top ring: Slides along the tank bag guide rail for customized positioning without drilling.

Paintwork protection: Keeps the tank bag elevated above the motorcycle’s painted tank surface.

Quick release: Pull straps allow the PRO tank bag to be removed in one movement.

Refueling access: The motorcycle’s fuel tank lid opens normally with the ring installed.

Durable construction: Fiberglass-reinforced plastic provides a precise and secure locking interface.

Complete installation kit: Includes the tank ring, mounting piece, mounting hardware, and instructions.

Compatibility note: Designed for SW-Motech PRO tank bags and not compatible with EVO tank bags.

Part number: TRT.00.787.20900/B.

https://ctracingservices.com/products/sw-motech-pro-tank-ring-for-yamaha-mt-09-2014-2016-trt-00-787-20900-b
