This front tire fits motorcycles requiring a 120/70ZR17 size with a (58W) speed and load rating. Developed for supersport and sport naked motorcycles, it is suitable for track days while remaining approved for use on public roads. The manufacturer and vendor part number is 70001045.
The specially developed Racing Soft (RS) compound is engineered to provide maximum traction and predictable feedback at high lean angles. At a recommended service temperature of approximately 176°F, the compound delivers enhanced grip and steering precision for demanding corner entry, braking, and acceleration conditions. The tire is W-rated for speeds up to 168 mph, supporting high-speed performance when properly installed and used within the motorcycle manufacturer’s specifications.
For track use, Mitas recommends warming the Sport Force+ RS with tire warmers for at least 50 minutes at approximately 176°F. Riders should follow the applicable hot- and cold-pressure guidelines, then fine-tune pressures based on the motorcycle, track conditions, ambient temperature, and riding style. Pressure should always be checked with accurate equipment, and the tire should be mounted by a qualified technician.
